Parish Registers
There is a good series of printed Parish Registers for Shropshire, but for many parishes there are no transcriptions. The picture is similar for Worcestershire. For Herefordshire there are few printed transcripts. Some of the Shropshire printed Registers are unreliable; many have not been checked against the Bishop's Transcripts.
My private collection, representing transcriptions made over about 20 years, covers many gaps, particularly in south Shropshire and north-west Worcestershire. Gaps in the Registers have been filled by the Bishop's Transcripts where possible, and the Bishop's Transcripts have been checked for all years against the Parish Register. All my transcripts are in searchable format on computer. The transcripts extend up to 1812.
