The Cheese Family
There are currently 17 Probate grants on the data base, indicating a group of Cheese families in the area between Ludlow and Bridgnorth, mostly east of the Clee Hills, but some in Ludlow and south of the town in Burford and Tenbury Wells. There are 67 male marriages on the data base, of which 25 are in Bridgnorth, 5 in Ludlow, 5 in Burford, 5 in Chetton south of Bridgnorth. The rest once again are in parishes on or to the east of the Clee Hills, with one or two outliers to the west in the Clun area. 27 of the marriages were before 1700.
